Who We Are—

Aurora Strings was formed in 1997 at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne. Consisting of four extremely dedicated professional string players, the quartet is now one of the most established in the North. With over 13 years of experience in providing high quality live music at so many events, the quartet has built a reputation for being professional, reliable and flexible.

Aurora Strings is Jo Montgomery (violin 1), Kirsten Gibson (violin 2), Gayle Hutchinson (viola) and Ed Pendrous (cello)

Please note, we will always strive to meet your requirements and on those rare occasions when a member of the quartet is unable to play, we would always contract one of our experienced players from our pool of reliable, professional deputy musicians.
